Conference with Elias, Solange y Alex

haha well conference was sweet!! haha it was seriously one of the funnest two days of my misson! first of we got to just listen and learn with out having to teach which was really nice. i was able to learn all for me and i didnt have to present it to anyone and i can honestly say that was one of the best parts haha and i got to rest for a little and gain some energy back you could say haha.! 

Lunes:

so we taught felipe to start off and its so hard for him to stop drinking and its sad to see. haha he knows that its killing him but he cant get himself to stop drink ing. his fam isnt the best example for him either but its still a work in progress! haha and then we taught agusto about the plan of salvacion and its hard for him to understand but he has the desire to do what is right so that is a VERY good thing! and then we taught the

Tuesday:

 we had splits and it was fun we had lunch and we taught the golf guy really quickly. haha he likes it when we come over and to day we are going to visit him again! haha and the we walked more than i have ever in my whole mission and to add to that i got sick that day. haha that sucked. had a waterfall falling out of my nose that whole day sweating and the front of my head was about to explode. and i was with the most shy missionary in our zone who has a very hard time applying himself. haha so that was a day where, as dad would say, i build a lot of character. but its over now:)

wednesday.

continued sick. haha its kinda funny that is that second time that i have been sick on my mission and the other time was exactly one year ago in the MTC right before General Conference. haha kinda weird! but w then had a lesson with raul helped him with his goals for the temple and then we taught elias and elias about enduring to the end and it was super good! we taught the able guy also but he has alziehmers and so we might pass by every once in a whille.

thursday.

had a lesson with elias and elias and taught them the word of wisdom and thwn we taught agusto about the gospel of Jesus christ with lots of videos and he understood alot better so that was good and then we had a lesson with the fam bernal and we taught them a lot of stuff and ate some lasagna with them. it was deliSHHH!!

friday.

we did service. those weed pulling hours at our house helped know what to do! haha and then we taught 2 less active people here and then we missed a FHE which sucked becuase the littel kid was waiting for us to get there. haha that sucked. and we walked around for most of the time that day.

saturday. haha well i abostlutley love conference. haha its so sweet. and i know that sounds nerdy but i cant even handle how good it was and it helped me a ton! and we also were able to go to preisthood session with felipe and he almost left because of how long it was but we convinced him to come back in haha 

sunday. so we helped the sisters set up the Bapt. that they had in between the 2 sessions and then we finished up the temple goals with raul. also i ablsolutely loved that part when eyering said that GOd knows our name! haha that was such a cool talk with a lot of some what funny facial expressions. haha but that marked me of how he spoke and then we had a lesson with solange and alex elias and elias aobut family history.

haha i actually really like this ward. haha i dont want to leave and i dont think i will. my comp has been in this zone for 6 months now so he will probably leave but we will see what happens in 2 days. haha im sure solange will keep you informed!

Sept 28th

Senor Elias

well this week we were able to have a lot of fun! haah thats cool that you cut your hair hahah and that awesome that you got that check also haha after a lot of work it has now paid off and there will only be more! im pretty sure that i read that talk you sent but im not totally sure haha its hard to remember what i have read an not read. haha but i do remember that i at least read the first part Could you send it again? and yes! send the talks that you like haha its fun to read them! and they help a ton! haha well at least she is goingt o graduate soon and be done with everything and if she is doing that much the time is going to fly by! haha! way fast!

monday.

so we had a good day we were able to teach raul about the sabath day because he bought some stuff in the open market right after he got confirmed. haha whoooops! hahah we that was intersting! haha and then we gott o teach elias and elias finally together after 2 weeks and so we taught them about the temple and were super excited to be able tot go to the temple on saturday with the ward!

Tuesday.

so we got to teach a lady that lives right in front of a catholic church and we put a baptism date for the 12th of october but she didnt come to church but we are going to find her again this week and put the bapt. date again with her again! then we had splits and i was with an elder from costa rica and we did a BLITZ in there sector for 45 min and then we went and taught a member and then we taught someone with schistofrenia. (i know i spelled that wrong) haha)) but yeah that was super wierd and he talked faster than anyone i have ever met in Chile. and then he took off his jacket and showed us his guns hahah he was JACKED! hahah not really but he was pretty proud of his bisceps! haha and then we taught elias and elias again and filled out there member progress sheet and set goals to go to the temple! and thebn we had once with a less active lady. we actually couldnt enter into her house at first because her husband wasnt inside so they invited him in and he had once with us and it was super cool ahah he is a funny guy!

Wednesday:

so we went and found a less active fam but we werent able to teach them adn they live on the other end of the sector from where the dad of the RS pres.lives. agusto   is super cool! haha we taught him about the restoration and he accepted to be baptized the 12th! then we had to run home for 20 min becuase they at the other end of our sector haha that sucked a lot!

Thursday!

so we taught felipe. its sad because it is so hard for him to stop drinking but he wants to do it so bad.!

then we taught augusto again about reading and praying and he liked it and is oging to read haha. we do know that he drinks but we are going to teach him that this week! and then we taught jose who came to church the other week and he loved the church so we taught him bout how to find answers to his prayers and then he said he was going to pray! haha YAHOO!!! oh yeah i say a tarantula also. and i made it one year in chile!

friday: had interchanges with another elder and we contacted a lady and gave her a card that says HOw can i find peace and happines and she just said this is what i was just thinking about and when we left and gave us her direction she asked us if her fam could come to ther lesson too and we were just like YESSSSS!!! haha and then we talked to another lady who said hi to us and she wanted to here the lessons again and then in the morning before we changed a member came up to us and told us that there is a lady that want to listent to the elders there and wants to got to church and everything haha. that was super cool because that sector needed alot of help and it was cool to see the lords hand in the work!

Saturday.

we then taught a less acitive fam aboiut going to churcha nd said they are going to go to church in another ward so that is good! ahha and then we taught elias and elias again and helped them finish there temple goals and so that was fun and then we taught felipe again and he said he was going to church. HAAAPPPPPYYYYY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sunday. so felipe jose and agusto came to church and they all liked it and felipe even said that he drank less than he normally does! if you guys could pray for him so that he can overcome his addiction! that would be great! and then we taught a guy named abel and he just lost his wife and so we tuaght him about eternal families and he cryed and it was a really cool lesson that we had and then we taught raul about tithing and he is going to pay his tithing when he gets payed and then we tuaght elias and elias again about mission work. so that was fun also and he gave us some books made out of wood that the dad made. it is super awesome!!!

Lunes:

wll we had to walk a crap ton this day haha we went from one end of the sector to the other in l2 times. haha in just 3 hours to work! hahah it s was a lot but we taught a less active guy and the we taugh a recient convert and gave a blessing to her husban who doesnt believe in god so that was pretty cool and he is super cool with us and we are hoping that he will want to learn more aobut he gospel soon! haha and then we went and gave bless of health, haha i forgot what thats called, to a member who just had a paralysis in his face and so that was cool also and the we finished the day by teaching the fam bernal about baptism and the confiramtion and about being obedient.

Martes:

haha had interchanges with an elder from oregon and i defetnly showed him my oregon duck socks that i brought with me haha! we taught a couple of investigators and chanllenges some investigators to get married and the accepted! hahah

Miercoles:

so we had district meeting and Hn Burwasser who was in my district when i was DL, her foot is super bad and today she went to the mission house to wiat and see if it get better and if it doesnt she will have to go home to have it get better! and then we taught raul about the holy ghost and it was fun. kind of a boring day!

Jueves.

so its was Chiles fourth of july here. haha i litterlly have not eaten that muuch food in my whole life! haha it was slighty incredible how much food the bishop fed us and what was also cool is that  his brother in law was there and they are from california and i had and english conversation with someone for the first time in a while and he had so wicked chipotle smoke tabasco sauce haha that was magically delicious!! and then we had to clean out chruch for like 2 hours to get it ready for the Zone conference with pres. the next day!

Viernes.

well we had a zone conference and it was seriously so sweet haha we had a way good time and we got to eat pizza haha that was fun. we read a talk called "Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ" it was super cool i invite all of you guys to read it! its crazy good on how to have faith and what to look for when our faith is failing!

Sabado:

so we taught a less active lady in the morning and then we taught Hno Elias the dad, about enduring to the end! it was super good and he is going to now make a boat in a bottle for us hahha. he might not be able to read but he sure can do a lot of arts and crafts stuff!! then we taught felipe and it was kinda sad because he is way addicted to alchohol and doesnt thingk that he can stop drinking. that was kind of a sad lesson with him. he wants to change but its going to be hard! then we taught another less active fam. and the we had a little time to contact and so guy told us that a grandchild had died in the house next door and so we went of there and the guy was pretty unfriendly with us and i was feeling good about that reference and so we went and left the card that says will i be with my fam after this life? in front of his car and when we passed by his car was gone and so was the card! haha future baptism!! haha and then taught bernal fam and ate more food than i have ever seen in my whole life! haha

Domingo.

el raul got confirmed in sacrament and the we were able to teach him later on about bapt. for the dead and we taught him really simply and he then taught us about the principle. haha the spirit helps him now understand and learn even more about the gospel. haha its so cool! haha and then we taught the dad of the relief society pres. who has never been baptized and is was super cool. his wife died like 4 months ago. right when we got here. and he wants to listen to us now and he told his daughter that he wants to enter the church. haha so that was super sweet and we are goign to be able to teach him almost every day! then we taught elias again and we taught him aobut the temple and he wants to go super bad so lets hope that he can go this week or at least with the ward in noviembre! and then we did a prayer with a drunk guy that had cnacer and then he prayed for us and started talking in "the gift of tongues." haha well that was intersting to say the least!

we are excited to have a good week and we are going to eat biscuts and gravy for the 25th!
